The API is v1, under /public/v1/. Within v1, changes are additive only:
  • a new route, a new optional parameter, a new response field, or a new error code;
  • never a removed or renamed field, a changed type, or a changed meaning.
Write clients that ignore fields they do not know, and that handle an unknown error code by its HTTP status. A breaking change ships as a new version. The old version keeps working for at least 90 days after the new one is announced in the changelog. The reference (openapi.json) is generated from the code, and the build fails when the two disagree.
